Three new courses are in the making:
Using Papervision3D™
This course aims to familiarise people with the new Papervision3D 2.0 ("Great White") API, enabling you to create interactive 3D environments in Flash. It is likely to be one day in duration and will cover (at least) the following topics:
- The 3D scene in Flash
- Installing Papervision3D
- The structure of a Papervision world
- Creating materials
- Creative primitives
- Introducing interactivity
- Adding lighting and other effects
Advanced ActionScript 3.0™
Our Advanced ActionScript 3.0 course will continue where Applied ActionScript 3.0 finished and will bring the serious Flash programmer up to speed on more advanced topics - including:
- Modelling applications with UML
- Using design patterns
- Using Flash Remoting
- Building custom video components
- Using External Interface
- Handling errors
- Utilising polymorphism & inheritance
- Manipulating bitmaps with code
- Employing version control systems
Introduction to Flash CS4™
Adobe's Creative Suite 4 is on the horizon. The new Flash will look very different, with a host of exciting new capabilities.
While this is all we can say at present, Orland Media will be ready and prepared to get you up to speed with those new features straight after the release of the product, with a one day introductory course. Watch this space for further details.
